Zeus

Zeus is a handsome lad who originally arrived to rescue about 20 pounds underweight. His foster home has done a wonderful job getting his weight back up to normal and he's been updated on all his vetting and neutered. He was adopted to a wonderful family, but personal circumstances arose where they could not keep him and he's been returned to us.

We believe Zeus was always an outside dog before coming to rescue, so he's been working hard on basic manners and house training. Zeus is house trained and loves having a fenced in yard. It is preferable that his new home have a fenced in yard.

Zeus has a medium to high energy level and needs daily exercise. Zeus does prefer to be with his people as much as possible and does exhibit some separation anxiety and needs a secure kennel or "Safe" area when left alone. He is used to people working and having breaks during the day - exercise before they leave helps him stay calmer while they are away.

Zeus does well with other dogs of all sizes. He will try to be dominant if allowed, but if corrected, he mellows out very nicely. Zeus has been around cats and does just fine. Zeus would love to have a playmate in his forever home.

Zeus is not currently fostered with children, but he has been around some as young as 3 and does well, outside of being clumsy and over excited. Zeus has gone through basic training and knows his commands. He needs a firm owner who will guide Zeus and Zeus looks for that. Zeus does have protective instincts and would do best with someone familiar with these and will continue to teach him what is expected for behaviors from him.

Zeus' adoption donation fee is $300.00 - he is up to date on all vetting including vaccinations, heartworm tested negative, neutered, microchipped, and current on flea/tick/heartworm/deworming protocols.
