Anabelle

Anabelle is a 3-4 year old Shiba Inu/Heeler mix who is a bit bashful at first meet but warms up quickly and enjoys lots of pets and love.  She weighs approximately 35 pounds and is considered full grown.

Anabelle is cautious with new people right away and will bark at first.  After a few minutes, she will approach slowly and will accept pets after a little convincing.  Anabelle has been around some children and seems to do okay with them after warming up - we feel she would do better in a home with children who are 5+ years old and understand she can be easily overwhelmed by fast movements and loud noise.

Anabelle does well with other dogs, large and small.  She keeps watch on how they interact with people and takes note on how she should follow suite.  Anabelle would prefer a home with another dog to learn the ropes from.  Anabelle has not been around cats much - the ones she has seen, she has barked at but it is unknown at this time how she would do living with cats.

Anabelle is kennel trained and does pretty well at the house training.  She has had a few accidents now and then, but overall does well on a schedule.  Anabelle has basic manners, but occasionally she will jump up for attention.  Consistency and small reminders help her remember to sit nice for pets.  Anabelle is working on basic commands and will need to continue polishing to be at her best!  Anabelle does well on a leash, but does pull when excited.

Anabelle would love to find a family who understands her timid nature and that she will take time to warm up to a new family and routine.  She would prefer a home with a fenced area to run and play, but would do okay with daily walks as well.

Anabelle is vet checked, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, spayed (scheduled), microchipped, and current on her flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. Anabelle’s adoption donation fee is $300.
