Junie

Junie is a sweet and happy female 1-2 year old Bull Terrier Mix.  She was found as a stray in Texas and arrived at our rescue in July – when she arrived, it was clear that she was hiding a surprise (a few) in her tummy!  Junie was a fantastic mother to her 5 pups and is now ready to find her own special home!  Junie weighs about 35-40 pounds and is considered full grown.

Junie is a friendly gal and thinks everyone she meets in her next best friend!  Junie loves to lay with you and if you let her, she adores snuggling (aka sitting) on your lap!  She has been around children of all ages and does well, but occasionally when excited, she does jump up.

Junie is great with other dogs – large and small.  Sometimes she’s a bit exuberant when meeting a new dog, but she just can’t wait to make a new friend!  Junie has been around cats and done well – sometimes she enjoys teasing the cats and will try to get them to play, but she’s respectful when the cats push back and put her in her place.

Junie has been working on basic manners – at times she has been known to be a door dasher.  Her foster has been working with her on this by asking for a sit and wait – this is a work in progress.  Junie knows how to come when called, kennel up, sit, and is also working on down.  She loves to chew on tasty bones and enjoys tossing toys around as well.  Junie does pull on the leash, but she’s been improving with practice – when she gets impatient that you are not moving along quick enough, she does a silly little dance/spin as she ‘encourages’ you to hurry up! Junie is kennel trained and believed to be house trained and has not had any accidents in her foster.

Junie is vet checked, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, microchipped, and scheduled to be spayed (December 1st).  Junie is current on her flea/tick/heartworm/deworming protocols.  Junie’s adoption fee is $300.00
