Cayenne

Cayenne is an approximate 1 year old female Lab/Shiba/Heeler mix who came into rescue with her mother due to their owner being unable to continue to care for them.  Cayenne is approximately 30-35 pounds and we don’t think she will get much larger in size.

Cayenne does well with other dogs of all sizes – she loves to play!  At times, she is nervous when first meeting new doggy friends, but a little time and she warms up quickly.  Cayenne has seen cats, but has not been introduced to them.  We do not know how she would do living with cats.

Cayenne is naturally shy when first meeting people.  At times, she will bark at first, but she’s been improving and learning that people provide lots of pets and treats!  She is a bit unsure around kids – she’s not mean, but with her timid nature, we feel she would be best with older kids who understand her cautiousness.  Her foster mom is working on exposing Cayenne to new people and experiences.

Cayenne is working on her basic manners and commands – she has come quite far in the time she has spent with her foster mom!  She loves to eat and is treat motivated.  She also enjoys going for walks!  Cayenne is kennel trained and doing fantastic on house training.  Cayenne would greatly benefit having another pup in the home to help show her the ropes and boost her confidence!

Cayenne is vet checked, started on vaccinations, heartworm tested negative, microchipped, and current on flea/tick/heartworm/deworming preventatives.  She has not yet been scheduled for her spay but this will be completed prior to going to her new home!  Cayenne’s adoption fee is $300.00
